RE: Leaving KJV
I found this Parallel Bible this morning

It's NKJV + ESV + NLT + The Message. So you've got a couple of strict translations and a couple more on the paraphrase spectrum. All in all not a bad way to be able to compare thoughts.

William Lane Craig

Mr Craig teaches at the college I graduated from (Biola). I personally never took any classes from him (although I know people who did); he's a good guy.

I want this! The NKJV for tradition and how I was raised, the ESV because that's the Bible we use in church, the NLT because I LOVE it, and the Message for a more unique and personal paraphrase.

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.

That's a wonderful collection for a parallel. I kind of want one.

As do I. I wonder if the local Family Christian Store has one.. I'll have to check.

Paper FTW! Smile

My wife and kids all have e-readers and I still prefer the dead-tree method also.
