Does anyone else find it interesting that conditional friendship is both a rallying cry and a selling point to these guys? Come to our conference and we'll be your friend (as long as you are exactly like us and do as we say)!
You know it's tough if friendship has to be emphasized and isn't just assumed. |

His problem is that every time a prominent fundy speaks at one of those conferences, he is lambasted by his own compatriots for compromising.
