RE: "In Search of Reason"
(02-11-2012 01:54 PM)pastors wife Wrote: Greg, I went to the Rock and Worship Roadshow and heard a couple bands that weren't really my cup of tea. One was Disciple. The whole first song they did they just screamed, and I couldn't understand a single word, but when the lead singer talked between songs, what he was sharing was good and Gospel-based. I did like "You Don't Own Me" although I had to look up the lyrics after I got home to understand what the song was talking about, and once I heard it again on youtube, it really grew on me. Another group was Hawk Nelson. Then Lecrae with hip hop, so it was a good time for expanding my exposure to different types of music. The night ended with Tenth Ave. North and Mercy Me, which I must admit, I still prefer! But it's cool to know that we can praise God in many styles and in different ways. Taylor's group played with Disciple, Hawk Nelson, and Lecrae, on the same stage at Creationfest, Tenth Ave, North and Mercy Me played on the Main stage. Taylor talked me into going to hear Disciple in a neighboring town, said I would like them because they weren't as hard as "ISOR" and were "southern." It started off pretty good, but then it got too loud, and I'm not saying this because I'm old and don't like loud music, they were too loud for their own PA system. I lost interest pretty quickly. But they did stop, and for about 30 minutes shared testimonies and the gospel, I was completely impressed! The good news is that Christ died for all of you........not just some of you! |

You can pick up our "Common Lies Of The Deceiver" E.P. on itunes for like 4 bucks or something if you'd like. Like us on Facebook! Thanks again! Taylor, thanks for the info and i'll check out your tunes. i'd really like to hear the song a bit 'cleaner,' as in the YT vids audio wasn't too clear. how did you record the EP? D.I.Y.? or did you do it in a studio? Shoes have come a long way from their humble beginnings as simple leather moccasins. Sweet, and yeah it was a buddy's studio in Baltimore Maryland. On In Search Of Reason's Facebook you can listen to two of the songs for free, as well as youtube. I'd recomend just going to youtube and typing in In Search Of Reason Joshua 1:9, it'll be a picture of us with the audio. RE: "In Search of Reason"
My son and his group "In Search of Reason" spent this past w/end up in Lancaster, PA. at the Launch Conference and music festival, made alot of industry contacts. Thought I would share a tune off their lates EP. Enjoy and proceed to rock carefully, this is actually a song about teen suicide. My son is on bass and does the "clean" vocals.

RE: "In Search of Reason"
"In Search Of Reason" has once again been selected to play at "Creationfest"..........the guys are jazzed, as you might imagine. There has been a shake-up in the group, my son has taken over lead guitar duties, and they have brought in another guy to take over bass duties, but get this, the kid has never played "out" before, his first gig every will be in front of 100,000+!!!!! No pressure right.!!

RE: "In Search of Reason"
"In Search of Reason" heading out Wednesday for Creationfest. They will be playing on the Indie stage again this year. They will play on Thursday the 28th at 12:40PM. I gave some wrong intel on their bass player, he has "played out" before, but this will be his first gig playing out with "ISOR."

RE: "In Search of Reason"
Just got a call from my son. The van he's driving with eight people was overheating, and they pulled over for a bit, they are about an hour out. I hope a trip up to PA is not in my very-near future!

That's a bummer. Hope everything works out for them.

RE: "In Search of Reason"
"ISOR" returned safe and sound late last night. They did make several more industry contacts, but their genre is such a small sliver of an already small (christian rock) sliver of the music industry, that it would be like lightning striking the same spot 10 times for them to really make some type of career out of it.
I'm glad they had the experience of playing in front of thousands, it's something they will remember all their lives. The good news is that Christ died for all of you........not just some of you! |
