Sounds like we are! Who's gonna preach about the "eeeevils" of instant coffee? I vote for Bean because of his name
Ike Tiarali said. His name is Bean and he's posting in the coffee thread. I can't cuz I am a "she" and not a "he."

At fundy U, we used to call coffee our "cup of sanctification."

I've often heard coffee referred to as 'Baptist Brew'.

Bahahahaha!!!! I've never heard that before.

I was always taught coffee was evil and a sin (addiction and strongholds you know!) even though over half the people around me drank it. Rolleyes I was also taught that once I started drinking coffee, I would never be able to stop and my world would revolve around it and I wouldn't be able to live without it. Rolleyes

RE: Coffee
To be fair, I've tried to give up caffeine, and it really, really hurts. But then I'm also a pretty rabid drinker of the stuff.

I feel sorry for anyone who has a seriously difficult addiction to try and fight.

I've heard that too. There was never coffee in my house growing up except for some instant for my grandparents when they came. I started drinking coffee in college. Usually one cup 3-4 times a week. One of the things we used to do during college was go to the diner with some of our youth group kids after services. One night I had something like 7 cups and my hands were shaking like a leaf. Ever since then, I rarely drink coffee. Love the smell but when I drink it I use a lot of cream and sugar. I especially like flavored creamer.

Seven cups?!?! You could have been standing on the ceiling with that much caffeine! Yikes.

When I was in college, I tried some kool-aid, but I didn't like it, and I didn't swallow.

I'm on number 3 so far today.

I expect the chest pains to set in any time now.
