Fundy Nightmares

Last night I had the most bizarre and perhaps most entertaining fundy-themed dream ever.

I dreamed that I was reading the SFL forums and someone posted a link to some crazy church. Something in particular about the teachings about women being really extreme. I looked at the site, saw that the church was in my area, and a service was about to begin, so I drove there. I went into the service, wearing a fundy style dress, and sat down at an aisle seat.

There was a bunch of choir music and some costumed people came marching down the isles. I think they were dressed like Roman soldiers. I decided I should leave. When I left I noticed eyes watching me. In the church hallway I found pamphlets that were so crazy I started browsing through them, planning on scanning them and posting them on the forums. One was the previous week's church schedule which announced the theme of the Christmas sermon was "Sodomy."

All of a sudden the pastor was in the hallway discussing my presence with someone else. They determined that I was a spy. I said something to them and they said they wanted me to leave. They started shouting at me. I ran and now they were all chasing me! People kept screaming "Get the hell out of my pastor's house!" I grabbed my cell phone and started recording the people chasing me. I was thinking how great it will be to post this on youtube.

I ran and ran looking for my car. I finally jumped in and started the engine when a young couple jumped in the back seat. They said, "we want to leave too!"

Then I woke up. And I was very disappointed that means there is no video.

I've had more dreams about posting on SFL than I care to admit. I've also had dreams involving people from fundy church, but they're always really nice dreams. It's always a similar scenario - my fundy friends have accepted that I no longer hold the same beliefs and they are totally okay with it. Any wrongs we may have done to each other are explained and forgiven, and we just hang out like friends and help each other out.

LOL! If you could've been there the day I was "escorted" out of my fundy U, you might have gotten some awesome video. I was almost literally dragged out of the room cause they wanted to keep me from speaking with the folks on my tour group before they banished me for not planning on coming back the next year.

I'd LOVE for them to try that again now!!
