RE: So, whatcha get this year?
2 trips to see my favorite music artist from my hubby, a Cuisinart electric pressure cooker, an iphone and money because no one ever knows what to get me which I used to buy some groceries, some minnetonka boots, and I'm debating on using the rest to buy some Katy Perry perfume, but am having a hard time justifying the cost even with gift money. My frugalness is a curse.

GET THE PERFUME! If anyone asks you what you got with the money they gave you, and you said, "groceries". They'd be sad. You have a duty to be able to report that you got an awesome present-like thing. Like perfume. Then they'll know that you enjoyed their gift.

I once told my mom that I would probably spend some birthday money or gift card for whatever we needed that week from Walmart or the grocery store. She didn't like that idea. She wanted me to spend it on something more gift-like. When I was in college, I tried some kool-aid, but I didn't like it, and I didn't swallow. |
