Christmas Frustration
This is what I am trying to get for my wife. What I was trying to get for her for Christmas.
[Image: e31-wgp-emerald_p55-wgp-emerald__1_1.jpg]

Here is the company web site. I placed the order on 11-28 and received the confirmation email:
Quote:Your order has been processed and should ship via priority airmail within 24 hours. You should receive your purchase within 4-5 working days.

As of 12-06 I had not received the order, so I sent an email to inquire about it. I received a reply on 12-07 via email:
Quote:Usually items take only 4-7 working days to arrive worldwide but items can take longer occasionally due to customs, bad weather, postal system delays e.t.c, these factors are outside of our control.

Note the change from 4-5 days to 4-7 days. Yeah, my first clue. I replied with some confirmation information they asked for as well as a note that the original email said 4-5 days, not 4-7. On 12-08, I got another reply from them confirming that it shipped on 11-29 and that I should be receiving it any day.

I still had not gotten it the following week, so on 12-13 I sent them a note. No reply. 12-15 I sent them another note. No reply. 12-20 I sent another note. No reply. I tried to call yesterday, but they are overseas, so their hours of operation are very sketchy. So, today, I bombed them...

No, not literal bomb. I sent them 2 emails, 3 or 4 comments via their website "Contact Us" system, 4-5 messages on their phone system, and 5 comments on their wall on facebook. All within the hours of 10:00 and 11:30.

Today at 1:00pm, I received an email. In addition to confirming when it was sent, it said the following:
Quote:We will re-send your order however the items are not out of stock and will be back in, in a few weeks.

Now, in case you didn't click the website above, you should do it now. Notice on their main page over on the right side. Yeah, that little box that says, "All products in stock and ready to be shipped". That's the one I am pointing at. :| And yes, I did search for what I had ordered and it is still on their website.

I could curse, scream, punch, and several other things. I can't believe this is happening. I was so pleased with remembering this for her Christmas. She wanted it last year, but I was already done shopping. GRRRRR!!!!

Sorry to hear that man.

Looks like someone is doing some last minute shopping.

Sorry Paul...it looks very nice. The thought that counts, right?

Definitely nice looking. Reminds me a little bit of the style of Arwen's Evenstar pendant in LotR. I saw you can also get matching earrings.

If it turns out to not be legit you can dispute the charge if it was on a credit card. Don't know what options you have if you used anything else.

Once you tell her your attempts to get this for her by Christmas, it should be ok. I'm sorry you're getting hosed on this.

RE: Christmas Frustration
Wow. You went to all that trouble to try and get something you knew she wanted, and feel frustrated that it's not working right? You're a good bloke. She's lucky.

Could you get her something else for christmas and just hold those for Valentines day? Then she doesn't even have to know about the troubles, and you can still surprise her.

RE: Christmas Frustration
You could give her something nice for Christmas AND give her a pic of the jewelry and say it's a Christmas present, but that it'll be arriving late due to company screw-ups (not in those exact words, of course..)
