Ironically, it was to go biking with my old fundy singles group. I biked like 12 miles that day, it was awesome. We went to Healdsburg because 2 of our directors lived there. There was definitely no wine.

RE: I Tried Wine
I love going to vineyards and doing a wine tasting. I enjoy learning about the wines, meeting the wine makers and finding out what they pair with the wine. My favorite place is Chrysalis in northern Virginia. The setting was gorgeous, the wine tasty, and it was the perfect place for a picnic.
I just found that a local strawberry farm is now bottling their own strawberry wine, a little sweet, but very yummy. Plus, I was able to get enough strawberries this week to make a batch of jam for Christmas gifts. Pay attention people! WifeofBill knows of which she speaks - Scorpio

Enjoy, Tiarali. I plan on bringing some Leinie's and maybe some Rhubarb wine to my folks.

RE: I Tried Wine
Moscato doesn't taste so nice when it's been sitting in the fridge for a month after it was opened. Just saying.

RE: I Tried Wine
It just occurred to me tonight why I like wine so much. Drink was something good Christians don't do, for my family. The only time they ever had a drink was at my dad's 50th wedding anniversary (a little champagne), and to this day they're taken aback whenever my sister and I talk about drinking.
I don't believe this any longer. A few weeks back, I realized that Christ did not come to wipe us of sin to live vanilla lives; he came to give us liberty from the law and deep, joyous freedom - freedom that includes wine. And so, every time I take a sip (bitter though it still is for me), I personally am enjoying my liberty in Christ all over again, anew, and all of the blessings God gives his children. Ben Franklin is said to have said that beer is proof God loves us. Well, wine is too.
All shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well. |

RE: I Tried Wine
There are different kinds of wine, they all taste different.
I like wine but the sugar jacks me up bad. I think I'm pre-diabetic. |
