I think many of them use that tactic. I actually went to Tennessee Temple University. It's not real fundy now, but back in the early 80's it was. They even scheduled first semester final exams after Christmas, and I'm convinced that part of the purpose was to prevent students from leaving in December and deciding not to come back. I then went to Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Michigan. The founder was a Bob Jones grad, but there was a strong Hyles type influence there as well. The academics were awful. I think I had one professor who even approached what I would consider to be "college" level. The rest were glorified Sunday School teachers at best. Apparently the school still exists. I actually feel pity for anyone that is duped into going there.
