Words
I found this online today and it gave me pause.

RE: Words
Wow, that's good. It could use a companion picture that has a word hand giving some type of comfort or leading. Also powerful imagery.

RE: Words
Words are powerful.
They can cut and scar... Quote:"See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race. But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way." James 3:5-10The world we live in is broken, fallen and wicked... so are we in our natural state. We may not be as morally wicked as we absolutely "could be," but we are as spiritually wicked as we "could ever be." And too often our speech reflects how broken and wicked we really are. ...or they can heal and give hope. There was nothing good in me whatsoever, but Christ now lives in me. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD. "There is no worse heresy than the fact that the office sanctifies the holder of it.” -from Lord Acton's Axiom “Yippee ki-yay, Mother Fundamentalist” |
