Christmas Songs...love or hate any?

RE: Christmas Songs...love or hate any?

I just heard this on Pandora and liked it: "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" by Kutless. There's a couple unique unexpected minor chords.

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.

RE: Christmas Songs...love or hate any?
Most of my favorites have already been mentioned. A couple that didn't get mentioned are Christ Tomlin's Christmas album from a couple of years ago and Michael Card's "Joseph's Song."

On the dislike side, I must agree with "The Christmas Shoes." I used to like Mannheim Steamroller, but most of it I am tired of now, especially the uptempo ones that get played ad nauseam in Christmas ads. But the worst has to be "Hard Candy Christmas" by Dolly Parton. That has to be the most depressing song ever.

I walk with bare, hushed feet the ground Ye tread with boldness shod;
I dare not fix with mete and bound The love and power of God. - J.G. Whittier

I LOVE the Relient K album. It's just fun. They don't take themselves too seriously, especially with Christmas music. I like their song--"In Like a Lion (Always Winter)"...I think it's in reference to Narnia/Aslan/Wicked Queen.

Haven't heard that one. Must be on their other Christmas Album. (Let it Snow, Let it Reindeer - or something like that)

The absolute worst Christmas song e-v-e-r!
No one can make this song worth listening to... but if you turn down the volume...Angel

Another close runner up would be:

ooo-waa-ooo-aaah-oo-oo

Of course I'm in the process of modifying "Jingle Bell Rock" to:
"Dingelberry, Dingleberry, Dingleberry Rock
The hair on your butt gets tied in a knot..."

"There is no worse heresy than the fact that the office sanctifies the holder of it.” -from Lord Acton's Axiom

Add me to the list that HATES Christmas Shoes. That one and Christmas Carol both annoy me.

This is one of my all time favorite "new" Christmas songs (as in not traditional).

I love "The Shepherd's Carol"--just so lovely and perfect.

Caution: really old school! LOL

Off the record, on the QT and very hush-hush

I have the Let It Snow, Let it Reindeer. Didn't know they had another one...
