RE: Christmas Songs...love or hate any?
Heart
"Un flambeau Jeanette, Isabella" (sung in French by Kathleen Battle, in fact, I pretty much love her entire Christmas album)
"Carol of the Bells" (had to learn this one in 6th grade and have loved it ever since)
almost any traditional carol sung in 4-part harmony - I loves me some harmony (Hymns Triumphant 1 comes to mind here.)

Angry
Anything country

Angel
I haven't heard much in the CCM line, but "Mary, Did You Know" makes me cry.

A steady diet of Hellfire and brimstone will only give you Spiritual gas and indigestion... from Mark Moore as posted on Facebook

I love:

Another sad song - this one about a dying child who wanted one last Christmas. It is based on a true story.

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.

HATE HATE HATE Christmas Shoes!!!! I can't say it enough. As soon as it comes on I turn the station. My mom and sister work for the Christian radio station, and my sister who rarely is on the air was on when Christmas Shoes came on. I turned it off. My sister has no say in programming so she's stuck listening too. Wish I knew who liked that dang song so I could convince them it truly sucks and for the song to just be a distant painful memory.

Pay attention people! WifeofBill knows of which she speaks Big Grin - Scorpio

Maybe we should start a petition to get Christmas Shoes banned from the radio. Big Grin

Another sad one based on a based on a true story. Google the Christmas Truce of WWI.

But someone turned it around and made a much lighter version of the story. And you thought this song was all just a fun piece of fluff!Big Grin

you, the mirror of my life renewed,
let me find my life in you.~St. Augustine

Hate:
Wall to wall Christmas music on the radio or most stores
Loius Armstrong - he sounds like he's singing through a mouthfull of drool

Love:
Trans-Siberian Orchestra!!!! I can (and do) listen to their 'Christmas Eve and other Stories' any time of the year. Especially love 'An Angel Came Down'
Recently discovered Twisted Sister did covers of Silver Bells and O Come All Ye Faithful
Large chunks of Handel's Messiah
Casting Crowns has a good Christmas CD love the first song - I heard the bells on Christmas day (chorus is awesome)
Relient K's Christmas album (Deck the Halls; Bruise Your Hands) especially 'Santa Claus is Thumbing to Town and The 12 Days of Christmas
