RE: #20 for the Duggars
My heart goes out to them. I cannot imagine the kind of pain that would come from that situation.

Regardless of my opinion on their family size...my heart goes out them. I pray they have peace.

I feel sorry for her. Sad No matter what your opinion of the Duggars, losing a baby is a tragity and I can't even imagine their heartbreak. May God give them peace and comfort.

As if God somehow uses miscarriages (or in her case, stillbirth) to signify to women that they shouldn't give birth -- punishment? Or that a stillbirth or babyloss is otherwise deserved. People are so incredibly judgmental. Her choices were hers and her husband's, and yeah -- they had far more kids than I'd have wanted or even could have safely had -- but to stand and mock a woman when she's lost a baby? What a crass, sick, sad society we live in. Sad

This is the reason I have refused to read any of the news stories about it. Once I knew it happened, I chose not to read further, because I fully expected the commentary to be crass and vile. At least here, no one has said anything inappropriate (thankfully, exactly as I had hoped).

When I was in college, I tried some kool-aid, but I didn't like it, and I didn't swallow.

It is very sad! Regardless of anyone's opinion about the Duggars and their beliefs, I would not wish this on my worst enemy. Sad I know how very hard it is to deal with the loss of a child, even though that child was not yet born. My sympathies to the Duggar family.

RE: #20 for the Duggars
I'm not saying this to be crass, but they DID blame a miscarriage at the beginning of their marriage on God's judgement because they dared to used birth control at one time. Which is why they said they felt convicted to not control their family size in the first place. Their version of God is mean and vindictive. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy either, but I hope they can understand that God didn't take their first baby as punishment for using birth control and God didn't take this recent baby as punishment for anything either. I would hate to live in mentality where I thought God would just snuff out the life of any of my children at any time if I "get it wrong" at some point.

Sad

I am so sorry to hear this.
