Question For You Men

Question For You Men
I had a male client today who had a cough. It wasn't bad at first but got a little worse. So I ask him if he would like some water. Both times he said he was fine. So I then just went and got him a bottle of water. He was very thankful and tipped me 50% of the cost of his cut.

Why do you men do this?! ;p Why do you say you're fine when you're not.

HF does this too but I know him and just ignore his, "No, I'm fine"s and get him what he needs.

I'm sorry to pick on y'all but it just seems to be a guy thing.

(Note: If any of you respond with "you women" statements, I will call you sexist.)

I really don't know any other explanation.

My wife and are the opposite. She'll say she is fine while I will gladly take any help she offers. It is a hassle to get her to the doctor because she doesn't want to seem like she needs any help! LOL

RE: Question For You Men
Here's a question for you Natalie. As a typical frugal guy, I worry about haircuts. I paid 20 bucks for my last one. Is that a lot or no?
BTW If I need help I won't ask but if it is offered I am happy to take any help!!

Social conditioning and personal pride? Men are expected to be self-sufficient and all that. Women who are socialized to be selfless would do the same thing.

Depends on if you like your stylist or not. $20 is decent. How do you get your hair cut?

My husband and father are the same when they are sick. Moaning and groaning because they are hurting. Have you taken any motrin/tylenol/asprin yet? "No." Then stop complaining.

It's really grown, I'll tell ya. about 3/4 of an inch on top, probably a #2 clipper on the sides! (I used to do a number one buzz cut throughout but decided to grow it out for the winter!) She did a nice job and it looks very nice I think.
I do like her, she does a nice job. Her place is an hour away but she used to live here if that makes any sense, so you always get to catch up and visit about lots of things. My wife goes to her also when we are in "the big city"

You just don't understand. Our emotional and intellectual needs run as deep as the Congo River. We just can't devote too much of our valuable time on trivial things such as "are you fine?" Tongue

Seriously though, I am the World's Biggest Baby™ when I am sick. If I am not fine, everyone in the same zip code as me will know.

Flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.
