New Life Verse!--well, an addition anyway
I found it! I found it!
I can now add to Matt. 7:7 that I picked out in 8th grade the following addendum to my life verse.

Here it is:
Deut 14:26 (NAS) "And you may spend the money for whatever your heart desires, for oxen, or sheep, or wine, or strong drink, or whatever your heart desires; and there you shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household."

The oxen store hasn't been open since about 1100 a.d. But there IS a beer store just down the street. Smile

Why stop there!? Take the "whatever your heart desires" and run with that! Big Grin

I'd like a nice MX track to ride this avatar bike in please! Cool

Perhaps a few MX biker babes to ride with...Big Grin (My wife would kill me)

I like that whole passage - puts a new twist on the idea of giving to God, now, doesn't it?

"The phoenix hope, can wing her way through desert skies, and still defying fortune's spite; revive from ashes and rise." Cervantes

FTW!
Choosing a "life verse" - another fundy tradition that doesn't make any sense.

I'm inscribing it in the inside cover of my "The Message Bible" tonight.

LOL!! i remember my senior year in fundy high having to dig up a real quick verse cuz i didn't even have one! so i basically took the church's "life verse".

i do understand having verses that speak to you in a special kind of way, but it makes more sense to just kinda live by the whole thing (Bible), not just saying hmmm ok i really like Joshua 1:8, that'll be my life verse.
