I do believe in the Second Coming, I just think that there are a lot of things that main-line Fundies and even folks like the Van Impes will have totally wrong. I believe that if God really wanted us to have the "full scoop" on the Second Coming He would have given us much more detail than just John's "visions".

Why don't we have more in-depth details quoted by Jesus Himself while He was doing His earthly ministry? I don't think it was intended to make us know all the finite details of the future. How often in the Bible do we actually find Jesus teaching about a "Rapture"? He mentions His coming Kingdom but doesn't even hint at what we call a rapture does He? Rolleyes

I'm not looking for a debate here either (but a few years ago I would have) just thinking "out loud". Big Grin
