RE: old-fashioned Bible
People that use iPads and other technology instead of the inspired Word of God on the pages of their KJV are simply ashamed of the Gospel. When you walk out of your house in your come as you are blue jeans carrying your iPad or Kindle, you aren't letting your neighbor know that you are going to church. What kind of testimony is that?

The sad thing is that so many of them actually use that argument.... as if somehow your neighbor is going to be converted because they see you leaving every sunday looking uncomfortably dressed and carrying a huge book. =P (chances are their neighbors never see anything because if they're like me they enjoy sleeping in on Sunday mornings!) RE: old-fashioned Bible
Ha, I'm pretty sure our neighbors never see us on Sunday mornings. The ones across the road are, um, to put it nicely, young people who like to stay up very late. Pretty sure the one guy's liver is going to straight-up explode one of these days. (don't get me wrong, they're perfectly fine neighbors, they just have a lot of parties!) The ones next to them have two very rambunctious young children, I'm pretty sure they take advantage of every second their children are still asleep!

RE: old-fashioned Bible
I think if neighbours, or people in general, see christians as people who wear uncomfortable clothes and carry around a big book, it's a turn off. People generally want freedom and to live in peace, and this stuffy idea of christianity just looks like you're allowing someone or something else to impose their will on your life.
Now if you're living in relationship with these people, and actually care about them, it's possible they might one day want to know your God - but only if you're genuine about your relationship with them (not playing relationship evangelism). Our love is the digital transfer of information ![]()

Don't you know that you're supposed to "come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord". We should look and act different. That's why I don't use my garage on Saturday night. How will my neighbor know what I'm doing if I climb in my car and open the door without him seeing me and my giant Thompson Chain Reference Bible. Can I get an amen?
