I am still staunchly committed to the fundamentals of the faith, but fundamentalists no longer would consider me one of them because of the very things you mentioned. It's been so amazing to me to discover the grace of Jesus and to rejoice in His freedom, even though people that I love have rejected and maligned me for it. I wish they could consider your points reasonably.

Thank you (and the others who commented on here) for the kind words and support. I am really overwhelmed by the positive feedback I've gotten from this simple blog post - from both fundamentalists and non-fundamentalists alike.

It's sad that people have rejected you for following God's Word, but it's not surprising since Christ told us that kind of thing would happen in this world. It's just a shame when it comes from other professing Christians. By showing them love in return, you will heap burning coals on their heads.
