This Weekend's Movies
So I spent a few hours vegging this weekend and caught up on some movies that I have been meaning to watch for a while...

Parenthood(1989)
Not my favorite movie with Steve Martin and yet a strangely timely one. I wouldn't have appreciated it before I had kids. And the Electric Ear Cleaner bit made me laugh for a straight minute.

Green Lantern(2011)
It didn't suck as much as it could have. It made me dislike Ryan Reynolds slightly less. But I still don't like him. Cool special effects.

Setup(2011)
50 Cent is a rapper who can't act. That's ok because Ryan Phillipe is an actor who can't act either so they make a really great pair. This movie might have been improved if they had re-written the script to make Bruce Willis the main character. Then burned it.

You didn't go see "Courageous"?

Hmmm...I guess you don't care about being the leader God called you to be in your family.

My old movie for the weekend was "The Rock" - while I like Connery, Harris, and Cage, the movie is decidedly cheesy

RE: This Weekend's Movies
I haven't watch a movie in ages. And you just mentioned Nic Cage, I want to go watch Face-Off now. Or at the least, some Hong Kong Blood Opera (The Killer or HardBoiled are both great).

RE: This Weekend's Movies
I watched a couple of episodes of Battlestar Galactica. Someone recommended Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Hanna.

If you like scifi, check out DARK CITY, I think folks here would really go for it.

One of my husband's big favorites.

Off the record, on the QT and very hush-hush
