I forget which race were discussing, but neither one was great (at least one candidate for that particular election was pro-life). My Bible teacher told us to vote for the lesser evil. When I told him my pastor said he was voting for the IFB candidate, my bible teacher backpeddled so fast and explained why you should only vote for the IFB candidate. I was more confused, but decided they couldn't tell us what to do once the curtains were closed. "Preach always, sometimes use words" - St. Francis of Assisi |

In my church, the most common way was to hand out "voter's guides" that "suggested" who you wanted to vote for. I also heard it preached from the pulpit that christians who voted democrat should check their souls and consciences to see if they were even saved. The church leaders got away with it because they weren't telling you who to vote for, just who you should vote against. This was back in the 1980s, about the time I left and from what I've heard, it hasn't gotten any better.
