RE: NaNoWriMo?
How about a story where the protagonist is trying to write a story for NaNoWriMo, but there are too many distractions and things getting in the way, and when he can finally sit down to write, pleased with himself for overcoming all the external obstacles, he realises that he doesn't actually have any good ideas to write about. This is the final hurdle - until he decides to write a story about someone who wants to participate in NaNoWriMo but has many hilarious obstacles causing a ridiculous amount of difficulty for him, and eventually writes a story where his protagonist overcomes those challenges to write a story about a protagonist overcoming obstacles to write a novel for NaNoWriMo.

RE: NaNoWriMo?
Resurrecting this thread as NaNoWriMo 2012 is right around the corner!
So, who's in? I am, of course, being a Rebel™ for the second year in a row, trying to finish a fantasy novel I started in 2010. The hard part is putting my inner editor in a box somewhere for the month. You can add me to your buddy list if you like. Same name as here! RE: NaNoWriMo?
I'm in. I'm always in.
Mine is the second book in a trilogy. I'm going backwards in time...the first book is in the present day, the second in the 70s and the last is set during the Civil war. I had to write the last one first....the first one in the middle and now the second one last. I have an intense fear of plot holes! RE: NaNoWriMo?
I've never managed to do NaNoWriMo (I lean more to the short story), but I did manage to finish Script Frenzy last year, which was oodles o' fun.

RE: NaNoWriMo?
I would but I'm writing non-fiction, not a novel.

RE: NaNoWriMo?
I'm going to try to write a short story in November.
That's about as much as I can manage this year but at least it's something.

Unfortunately, the Office of Letters and Light (sponsor or NaNoWriMo and Script Frenzy) is dropping Frenzy. I think this year was the last year. Still, you can be a Rebel™ and do a script during NaNoWriMo. A steady diet of Hellfire and brimstone will only give you Spiritual gas and indigestion... from Mark Moore as posted on Facebook |

BTW, I hope you all understand that I'm joking about the ™ part... I know we use it elsewhere on the site in that manner.
