I'll try to repeat this slowly. The. man. pled. guilty. That means he's guilty. That means that in a public court of law he said "Yes, I did this thing."

I'm not sure exactly how knowing him personally changes that fact.

I don't understand. I was responding to LookingForTruth, who seemed to be saying that whoever this Ronnie guy was, might be innocent. I said "He admitted to the crime, so I don't see how he can be innocent".

Unless you meant to respond to me in a different thread? Sorry, I'm really confused, since as far as I recall, I've posted maybe twice in this thread, and both times were only a few lines...

By all means protect you family and those that you love. If you feel the need to discuss it to your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ then do it. We have discussed it among our church. I know there will still be some to argue just for the sake of arguing. We can agree to disagree. Have a wonderful evening and I hope God will bless you if you are 100 percent correct on everything you say and convict you to make an apology if you are wrong. The same goes for myself.

LFT, where exactly is the argument in this? Sutton's guilt or innocence? He pled GUILTY! No argument there. Let's say Sutton DID plead guilty when he is in fact innocent. If so, that would make him a LIAR then, wouldn't it? Sexual predator...liar.....sexual predator...liar, eenie, meemie, miney, mo......take your pick. Which type would be most suitable to preach a hell-fire and brimstone sermon that you and your family would sit under? Seriously, would YOU feel comfortable allowing him to give YOUR 13 year old daughter a ride home? Tell me again where the argument is here, please.

I heard Ronnie Sutton preach at Camp Meetings several times at the Baptist church in Mississippi where I grew up. He came across so mean and hateful it made me nauseous. He was always going on about "compromisers" and all the people who weren't right with God because they didn't do everything his way, for instance I heard him say that if Jerry Falwell had a flat tire he would drive right past him Dodgy
