RE: Three Years
Three years ago I was still proud to be Southern Baptist and Reformed. There was a ton of disillusionment inside but it hadn't seeped up into the open yet like it would a year later. Actually, I guess it was starting to seep out but I hadn't suffered my crisis of faith yet.

If a man-o-god delivers a toe-stomping sermon and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

RE: Three Years
Three years ago, I might still have believed that God exists. Either that, or I hadn't admitted to myself that I didn't believe anymore.

We were once so close to Heaven, Peter came out and gave us medals, declaring us "The Nicest of the Damned." TMBG

RE: Three Years
Three years ago I was still relatively new (2 years) in IFB fundydom (but had seen a bit of the brethren movement in which some strains have some elements of fundyism) and was heavily pregnant with a precious little boy who was due to arrive in just a month. I had absolutely no idea that three hard years were coming; and that after every trial I would breathe a sigh of relief because it was over! But it would be followed by something that was worse.

What's next? Is there another trial just waiting around the corner or am I finally nearing the mountain top?
