Anybody directly affected by Hurricane Irene?
I was just curious if any of my SFL brothers and sisters are going to be directly impacted by Hurricane Irene? I am thinking impacts like mandatory evacuation, anticipated power outages etc etc.
I am just far enough west in New York State to miss it all. I certainly hope even you are impacted you do not lose internet access to SFL. Flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes. |

I live about 2 hours west of DC. We aren't supposed to get anything here.

I'm good in Illinois, but my big sister lives about a mile inland in southern Delaware. She's on the edge of the evacuation order and pretty scared.

RE: Anybody directly affected by Hurricane Irene?
Ask me in about 48 hours. Irene should be hitting my area this weekend. I'm over 30 miles inland, so we shouldn't get the worst of it.

RE: Anybody directly affected by Hurricane Irene?
Just east of where Irene is currently scheduled to come ashore, as a nurse I'll be working at the hospital (located right next to the current mandatory evacuation zone) for the duration, just a little nervous about that! All prayers and positive thoughts appreciated.

I'm far too inland to get a direct hit, but we're getting the clouding and some wind coming in.

My son is in Jacksonville, NC. As far as I can tell, it is right in the path. He is in our prayers, but he said not to worry because he has stocked up on spaghetti-o's!
