FWOTW: minutemenministries.org
![]() What teen doesn't love a great set of themes services? Just like the Minutemen of yore kicked out the British, these pastors will kick out...pretty much everything else. I especially enjoyed the Parents Q&A page. As well as the War Report page that has yet to be built. I guess they're still waiting to see any real action. |

RE: FWOTW: minutemenministries.org
These people come to my old church about once a year. I never did understand why they call their services an "outreach" and then preach about sin the entire time. I got pretty tired of it being assumed that since I was a teenager, I must be a horrible, rebellious person who does drugs, watches pornography, and generally has no respect for anyone. And I think my peers mostly felt the same. (Except for the ones who ended up crying at the front after every message.)

RE: FWOTW: minutemenministries.org
One of these guys attended my Ordination Questioning. It was generally a good meeting. However, this "evangelist's" 2 questions were ridiculous. 1. What is your position on the King James Bible? 2 What is your position On CCM? Seriosuly? I almost laughed, but so many of the men there would have been mad at me.
Edit: I just looked at the names and John Val Gelderen is no longer with them. He is by himself now. He is the one who was at my ordination. And I looked at his itinerary. One of the pastors of a church he is going to has been a good friend since the early days of my faith. I am surprised that this guy would have Van Gelderen. He tortures the scriptures. “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die.” |

I can't even begin to tell you the controversies the Van Geldrens initiated in Wisconsin. They are THE IFB cult in WI.

Joy Van Geldren was at BJ the same time I was. She was a sweet person...became a Pastor's wife. Passed away from cancer a few years ago. Never knew her brother.

Well, when this is their website banner message, you know things are not going very well financially:
Re: Minutemen HQ: "We are now in control of the payments for the building. God is providing, but there is still a great need!" Of course, the above commentary is only my very humble opinion and, therefore, highly questionable.

RE: FWOTW: minutemenministries.org
We had "The War" come to our fundy lite church when my husband was a youth pastor. In those days, it was still under the auspices of BJU, though it shortly broke off into its own ministry.
They had a lot of fun games. We got lots of teens to attend. The preacher was intense but the college-age guys who headed up each of the teams were enthusiastic and caring. "Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan. |
