What Does Your Church Pay Your Pastor?

To me, that would be a deal-breaker. If there was one thing my BJU orbital church did right, it was finances. Every month there was a statement made available, and every year a fiscal statement was put in the bulletins (usually on Wed. night, but still...). Everyone knew which missionaries we supported -- by name and by affiliation -- and how much they got, both in regular support and in gifts. We knew how much the pastors made, particularly the lead pastor. They were very open about it, and I hope they still are.
