What Does Your Church Pay Your Pastor?

Our Senior Pastor takes a 32k Salary. He also gets housing, and utilities. All in all, I figure he's making around 45-50k plus we give him a small love offering at the end of the year.

I am the Assistant Pastor and I make $100 a month. I hold a full time job and try to dedicate around 10 hours a week to ministry.

Perhaps I am biased, having grown up in a very poor pastors home, but my view is that the pastor should be able to live a comfortable lifestyle and be able to focus entirely on ministry. Of course this is in a perfect world, but it would seem to me that when a pastor is worried about personal finances, he's distracted.
