RE: BJU Gallery and Museum
I still don't understand. The reason we walk on the grass is cause their sidewalks are on sucky places........ They could fix the whole problem.....................

Sounds like a great vacation to me! Somehow more than one museum is more than my kids can usually stand!

RE: BJU Gallery and Museum
My hubby worked security on campus, and he had to go through the gallery at night a few times. Totally creeped him out. They used to have an initiation of sorts where one guard would hide behind the sarcophagus and jump out at a new guard who would be passing by at some awful hour of the night. At least one guard who got scared that way had to go back to the dorm for a new pair of pants.

Hmm... The BJU student handbook says initiations of any sort are not allowed. Now I know people like having fun and some people are OK being on the receiving end. But I personally wouldn't participate in that because of the risk of getting in trouble. It wouldn't stop me from videoing it though.

Initiations were not allowed, but that didn't mean that they never happened. The most common "initiation" was the standard take-your-clothes-and-towel-while-you're-in-the-shower one played on almost all freshman girls. No videos, please.

Or what about throwing ice on someone in the shower? I've done that to someone and also had that done to me. And pantsing. There was a lot of pantsing going on between us roomies throughout the year. Tongue

RE: BJU Gallery and Museum
I love art museums. I visit the National Gallery in DC whenever I travel to the city.

Does anyone know exactly how Bob Jones Jr. got all that art? Where did it come from?

And is it true that a Catholic Bishop once took a tour? I heard they shut down the place and he went in privately.

O Beauty ever ancient, O Beauty ever new;
you, the mirror of my life renewed,
let me find my life in you.~St. Augustine
