I think the original poster has long since given up imposing rules on this forum Big Grin

I was talking to a friend about Revelations and the anti-Christ. Random dude walks up and says:

"The antic-Christ is already here. It's woman because Eve was the opposite of Adam."

Me: "No. That's not true!"

Him: "Why?"

Me: "Because Jesus was born from woman and he was sinless. So, children get their sins from their fathers, which means that all women are sinless and therefore perfect!" Big Grin

He stared a me and left. I continued the regular conversation with my other friend.

@Clint: I was rather hoping y'all would impose them on yourself once you saw how much better it makes things. Smile

RE: PLEASE READ: Forum etiquette
@Tony:

LOL....Difference is....I don't have the authority to make it an actual rule, nor would I exercise it if I did.

This is, rather, normal discourse. I, as an individual user of the forum, think that doing things the way I outlined would make the forum experience more pleasant for all.

So I let the group know (adding "Please read", to make sure the entire group sees it). If the group decides not to do it that way, then fine. But at least they are now aware of the (IMHO) better way, so that they can choose to adopt it if they would like. Smile

Notice I haven't called anyone out on it in particular, nor have I addressed it outside this thread. I have formatted my own posts according to my own suggestion, though. Smile

If anything, this is the opposite of fundy. LOL

RE: PLEASE READ: Forum etiquette
I think it just came off as a bit pushy. But as you can tell by the responses, everyone takes things in stride around here pretty much Big Grin
