Bug liberal/moderate evangelicalism
What evangelical denoms could be classified as moderate or liberal? We covered many of the conservative evangelical denoms so I thought I'd see what denoms people consider to be moderate/liberal evangelical?

Well the very existence of conservative evangelicalism seems to indicate that there is another kind of evangelicalism....right?

Not sure it can be done. Having visited a couple of hundred churches over a couple of years a while back, I can tell you, even churches from the same denomination vary wildly. One of the most Charismatic churches I've ever visited was an Episcopal church. And I've been to Pentecostal churches that follow more a Liberation Theology line. And everything in between.

Not really a denomination but Sojourners maybe?

Whatever church Tony Campolo pastors. Not sure what denomination that is.

I've been reading Tony Campolo's stuff and really enjoying it! He makes so much sense.

I am about to buy his book "Red-Letter Christians." I've got a hunch that I will like him. Big Grin

Red Letter Christians is a great book! I just finished it. I did have one or two problems with it, but that is with any book even if it's awesome. But definitely one I recommend!
