I remember this being said from the pulpit about former members:
(paraphrased) "They will tell you they are happy and doing well - but they won't tell you about their kids. Their kids are going to the devil, but they won't tell you the truth about it!!!" We were clearly taught our kids would go to the devil if we left that church. Doesn't that tell you where they really place their faith? |

Most of the IFB movement is a cult. Not all, but most.

Exactly. I've been to two IFB churches, the first being extremely cult-like and the second being actually not too bad, but even so, it was filled with so much trigger-language that I had to get out. Anything that reminds me of the first church still makes me shudder.
