Don, having to pay taxes is not stealing. God made Israel pay taxes (tithe, anyone) and then in the New Testament told the people to pay their taxes too. If it were stealing, Jesus would have said so and not promoted it because it would have gone against things God had already commanded. In the New Testament we see more of a socialist system, where people were Christian enough to do it out of love for the Lord, but if they won't do it out of love for the Lord, we can compel them by taxes to do so. The love of money truly is the root of all evil like the Bible says. We are so greedy we want to have all of our money entirely for ourselves and never think about anyone else. Our selfishness is showing.

Socialized healthcare should not be optional! If we want to pay extra for private healthcare, fine.
