Good strategy! Well, I should try to read it this summer. I've heard so many good things about it. My son isn't one to rave about books, but he raved about that one.

Woot! Another Lord Peter Wimsey fan! I have to admit that I really liked Gaudy Night better, and it's a proper lead up to Busman's Honeymoon, but I do love that last Harriet Vane novel! Have you ever read the two short story sequels, "The Haunted Policeman" and "Tallboys"?

I wish that they had done Busman's Honeymoon when they did the three Wimsey/Vane novels for TV. Those were so well-done and the actors were perfect in the parts. Busman's Honeymoon would have been icing on the cake.

A steady diet of Hellfire and brimstone will only give you Spiritual gas and indigestion... from Mark Moore as posted on Facebook

Yes, I think I've read every Wimsey story, including the short stories. I really liked Gaudy Night too, but I absolutely loved all the literary allusions that Sayers sneaked into Busman's Honeymoon. That was so much fun.

I've never seen the TV movies, but maybe that's all for the best. I'm one of those people who almost always say "The book was better than the movie."
