Harold Camping to speak tonight
http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/U...TE=DEFAULT
The following quote sums up the sadness involved in all of this for me. Quote:Herbert Walker, 66, of Lake Hamilton, Fla., had been convinced by his daily readings of the Bible and Camping's prediction that May 21 would see God bring chosen souls into heaven before a cataclysmic worldwide tribulation. If Hebert Walker is representative of many of Campings followers, then they have no assurance or peace - but pray regularly hoping to be counted among the saved. The way it is worded definitely implies acceptance by religious works. I was expecting the following Quote:Family Radio's special projects coordinator, Michael Garcia said he believed the delay was God's way of separating true believers from those willing to doubt what he said were clear biblical warnings. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; - Titus 2:11-12 |

RE: Harold Camping to speak tonight
Quote:Camping, who made a special appearance before the press at the Oakland headquarters of the media empire Monday evening, apologized for not having the dates "worked out as accurately as I could have." Through chatting with a friend over what he acknowledged was a very difficult weekend, the light dawned on him that instead of the biblical Rapture in which the faithful would be swept up to the heavens, May 21 had instead been a "spiritual" Judgment Day, which places the entire world under Christ's judgment, he said. How convenient. The Rapture happened but it was invisible so no one could see it.
“The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views...which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.”~ The Doctor |

You could just pray and hope you are part of the elect. The Fellowship of Post-Fundamentalists |

It's like tomorrow's Powerball drawing...a dollar and a dream and you hope to win it big. |

Sooo..... basically the bodies of the saved are now walking zombies? Cause there were no headlines of masses of people missing. I knew there was going to be a zombie apocalypse!!!! "Funny, you're the broken one, but I'm the only one who needed saving." |
