RE: Cancelled Shows
Someone borrowed my Jericho DVDs and hasn't returned them. I'm in the mood to watch them again.
Sometimes shows get canceled because of conflicts with the networks. I think Firefly had that problem. O Beauty ever ancient, O Beauty ever new; you, the mirror of my life renewed, let me find my life in you.~St. Augustine |

I've heard a lot of good things about Firefly but have never seen the show. Well, actually, I saw a couple minutes of one episode on the Syfy channel way back when. I almost bought the series at Target the other day when they had all those TV seasons on sale. Ended up getting season 2 of The Mentalist and season 7 of NCIS for <$20 each. My general rule of thumb is never pay more than $20 for a season of a show and less if its not 20+ episodes. Those two were $45 regular (more reasonable prices on Amazon but still above my cap). Also got a raincheck for season 2 of Fringe. boymom: What in the thelogical region of eternal punishment is a daddy-daughter ball? amyrose5:No one is in charge around here. Except maybe the rabbit. Between the online commentary that I read and listening to the DVD commentary for the episodes, I got the impression that Firefly was doomed before it even started. Seems that it had been a lifelong dream of Joss to do this Sci-Fi series, so when the Fox execs wanted him to do a few more seasons of Buffy, he added Firefly to his list of requirements. Fast forward to the actual beginning season and Fox billed another show (Jonas 2.0?) at least 5 times as much as Firefly. (I know because both were starting after MLB playoffs and I watched nearly every game of the playoffs that year.) Firefly got the preview of the "naked girl in a box" scene from the "official" pilot, but when the time came down to it, the Fox execs told Joss the pilot was "too dark" for a pilot. He and Minear went away for a weekend and wrote "Train Job" to be the "new" pilot. The talk around is that the execs never even cared what the ratings were or whether the show was popular, they were going to cancel it regardless because it wasn't the "direction" they wanted to go. Translated, they wanted to push their own sci-fi show and didn't want the competition. So essentially, yes, Fox's execs political motivations killed Firefly. If you watch SyFy (or whatever the hell they're calling themselves this week) or Science Channel's showings you can see how it should've progressed. The old Universal Network did the same with Ledgend, which I have never forgiven them for. It was nice to see John DeLancie playing a hero. RE: Cancelled Shows
CSI Miami got cancelled, but I didn't watch it. I could never get in to it.
Harry's Law got canceled I kind of liked it when i watched it. Terra Nova got canceled. In my opinion it took too long with alot of it's plot lines and got bogged down in trivial stuff. In my opinion they should have just made it a series of made for TV movies. |

Forget the fear/it's just a crutch/that tries to hold you back/and turn your dreams to dust. |

Looks like this show is gonna be dead in the water YAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!It took me a bit to get used to the show but I did enjoy watching it on syndication back when I had cable. H and his sunglasses/pun were so obvious but I guess maybe it was intentional and part of the show's trademark. I liked Boavista, Wolfe, and whoever that petite, blond minor lab tech was. I thought they had probably jumped the shark when they had the 'murder in space' and 'Ducane's out-of-body experience' episodes. boymom: What in the thelogical region of eternal punishment is a daddy-daughter ball? amyrose5:No one is in charge around here. The catch? They are comics. Artwork is okay, story is great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_Season_3 Also, I just saw this http://screenrant.com/jericho-season-3-n...tt-168589/ Grace means that God does something for me; law means that I do something for God. God has certain holy demands which he places upon me: that is law. Now if law means that God requires something of me for their fulfillment, then deliverance means he no longer requires that from me, but himself provides it. |

Battlestar Galactica.
Although, it did finish up and was planned. They had to reach Earth some day
