Not a big beer fan, but I do like to kick back with a bottle of Blue Moon. :-)

And if you're into wine at all, try chocolate raspberry wine from Kickapoo Creek winery. Not sure how easy it is to get outside of central IL, but it's AWESOME.

I personally don't drink because I'm underage and prone to addictions. However, there is a legendary non-alcoholic drink called "Motley Bird" that is perhaps more potent that some of us use as a replacement.

Several have mentioned Guinness which is very nice. The same brewery also brews a nice cream ale called Kilkenny. Worth a try. Finally, for something really special, try Innis and Gunn (Scottish beer I believe). It is oak aged beer that has been aged in oak barrels that had previously been used to mature bourbon. 6% A/V, very smooth and silky, toffee and vanilla undertones. The sweetness of the bourbon cask really tames the 6%. My wife loves it.

Ditto on the Innis and Gunn. They now also offer a beer matured in rum casks. Very nice, but so good as the Whiskey barrel offering.

Yes, bourbon barrel beers are amazing. I mentioned a craft beer earlier in the thread that does that. Real Kentucky beer in real Kentucky bourbon barrels. It's good for what ails ye.

I've had the rum version. I was intrigued because it's darker and I tend to like dark beers. I also enjoy rum. While still very enjoyable, I have to agree. Not as good as the original.
