We made an IPA. Used a kit this time, with a malt extract - It was my first and my buddy's second try. In a month or two we're going to take a shot at an all grain brew, but that requires accquiring/making a mash tun. We're going to bottle his first attempt this weekend I think - an amber ale. http://bluecollarjesus.net "You are now DR.redbeardiam." - Presbygirl Proud recipient of "the blessedhopebaptist badge of bitterness" |

There's a group of us that get together and do a batch from time to time. We're thinking we need to buy some more equipment so we can do more.

The other night I had a couple Coast HopArt IPAs. It's a brew out of Charleston, SC. Very good!

RE: Favorite Beer?
When I was at the fundy lite Bible college, we bought a gallon of cider and let it sit in the closet for a while. It made decent hard cider.

RE: Favorite Beer?
Nice!
I really want to try making cider. What's stopping me is not having a press. I'm in Asia, so I'd have to get a tabletop one shipped, which is pricey. But without some kind of mechanical press, you just could bankrupt yourself on apples to get enough. RE: Favorite Beer?
We bottled our IPA tonight! also, we dry hopped it between brewing and bottling.it had a good taste and great aroma, so as long as it bottle conditions okay we should have a major win.
