I know I'm a little late on this one but I finally got around to watching it this weekend and I really, really liked it.
The redemptive nature of the story that doesn't attempt to be schmaltzy or cute is pretty great. "It doesn't help to wear a hat on your head if your posterior is exposed." ~ PW "Don't make crazy your normal and then wonder why nobody agrees with you." ~ EC |

E’s character was very stereotypical, but not canned or inaccurate. I think that anyone watching the movie would say they knew an “old school” guy like Kowalski. I hated his family and loved when the stupid granddaughter got hers at the end. Shoes have come a long way from their humble beginnings as simple leather moccasins.
