RE: Music Area
Hey, Journey is good.
My parents didn't start the no contemporary music thing until in was around 14, which was very difficult for me. Thankfully they left all tha legalism behind like I have. I actually was turned off by a lot of CCM because of it's lack of theological depth. Then I heard my first Sovereign Grace song... Then the Gettys... Now I haven blessed by a whole host of music by great song writers who reflect theological perception, Christ-centered passion, and great musicanship. Whenever evangelists started naming rock groups, I'd never heard of any of them. Petra? Who was that? Thanks. Now I have that Richard Marx song stuck in my head.
The fact that the Sun is maize and the sky is blue is neither in our control, nor is something we fraudulently contrived. It just shows that God has excellent taste in colors. |
