I've honestly never been "hurt" by an IFB church. My biggest issue with mine is the legalistic stuff like KJVO, music, and placing the "we are IFB so we will only do things this way or other churches will think we're liberal and they'll stop coming to our special meetings" lecture somewhere in every sermon. I do think there are many good IFB churches, but a little bit of legalism in a sermon ruins the whole church experience for me.
