You just don't get it.

Do you think the Pharisee in Luke 18 got it?

I'm pretty damn (oops, I'm getting vile) superior myself, actually.

Really, Greg? By the way, No One Likes You Here!!

When I was in college, I tried some kool-aid, but I didn't like it, and I didn't swallow.

Honestly, I think self-righteous, dishonest, narrow-minded haters are the most vile. They put Round-up on the tree that makes the Fruit of the Spirit and curdle the milk of human-kindness.

I'm curious as to what he thinks I am, too.

Quote:I think we have an example of this very depravity and evil displayed right here on SFL, no one here speaks more filthy and evil than the homosexuals, some are definitely worse than others, but the nastiest winners are definitely the homosexuals, which proves Romans to be correct, they are filled with this depravity and it comes out in their posts on SFL.

I hate to interrupt the screed you've got going on there but you're going to need to be a little more specific. Who said what that was filthy and evil? And where did they say it?

It's my observation that most of the gay folks on here are much nicer and more patient than you are. And I notice that YOU are the one who keeps bringing up the topic of homosexuality again and again (and again and again and again) not generally one of them.

I generally don't engage with you on these threads because in general my own political and theological viewpoints are very conservative. But what you're trying to accomplish in this thread is just wrong.

I work with a bunch of people, among them a gay man who I have now know for years. Sometimes when I can't afford to go out to lunch with everybody else he pays my way because he knows I'm embarrassed at not having enough money. When my daughter was born he bought her the expensive preemie formula she needed for her first weeks. When I need somebody to vent my frustrations to I more likely than not will end up in his office to talk.

It has not been my observation that he is more vile than anybody else just because he's in a relationship with another man. And he's been much kinder to me than a lot of straight people who call themselves Christians. So I find your assertion here both wrong and unkind. And I really wish you would go do this somewhere else.

I don't want to get snarky with the boss, but we just had a president come out in support of wicked sin, I'm sure you noticed. Hate to bother the good folks at SFL with God's word but, "since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done" We now have for the first time ever Darrell, a president in support of what the bible calls "depravity" I gotta tell ya, that's a real big deal!

I see that you didn't touch my point about me "not celebrating/flaunting" my sins as do the homosexuals.

I have looked deep into my own heart, and I have decided that as for me and my house we will serve the Lord (or at least try to). I am agreeing with God about the wickedness of homosexuality, I simply will not apologize for that stand, nor will I be silenced and get all PC about it, there is sin in the land and we have a President of our country that has approved it.

It is time for Christians of all denominations to band together and agree with God about this wickedness which is strangling our land.

Choose you this day whom you will serve.

The good news is that Christ died for all of you........not just some of you!

I cackle with glee at all the LGB people who were just waiting for the president to say he supports them getting married before they went all gay. I'm sure all of them immediately went out and found the perfect person to fall in love with (after waiting some of them almost their entire lives!), and immediately progressed in their relationships to having sex (Teh Gay Secks™) by like, yesterday.

... Really? Hate to break it to you, but I don't know anyone LGBT or not who would do anything different in their lives because of what a president thought about it. This isn't a big deal.

Seriously, greg, I'm surprised that you don't separate from the depravity here. Just leave us all to our depraved minds and thereby avoid the judgment of God on us.
