laugh out loud... West Virginia primary
Obama is slugging it out with a FEDERAL INMATE in the Democratic primary, 61% to 39%. The inmate is winning at least 9 of 55 counties and is close in a few more. Obama is doing particularly bad in the southern coal field counties.

On the Republican side it's:
Romney 68%
Santorum 14%
Paul 10%

With 53% reporting.

The inmate has very nearly as many votes as Romney does.

Thanks for the chuckle. That's my home state... consistently finding 'creative' ways to make the news.

It's currently 60-40 and some of the counties with the strongest anti-Obama sentiments haven't come in yet. Obama could go below 60%.

59-41% now.

Putnam and Harrison counties are still out. I *think* that should push Obama back above 60%. Relative to the rest of the state both have high population, incomes, and education levels and diverse economies. Relative to the rest of the state.

EDIT: Harrison came in fairly strong for Obama but it was not enough. I'm not sure Putnam will outweigh Wyoming and Braxton. Obama might not get 60%.

He is legally guaranteed at least one delegate at the Democratic National Convention. However, none have registered.

In addition to over 70,000 votes for a felon; 20,000 who voted for a Democratic Senate candidate abstained from voting for a Democratic Presidential candidate.

53% of Democrats who voted yesterday in West Virginia did not vote for Obama.

I was going to post this and you beat me to it.

Obama is going down in flames! I'll bet Democrats are having buyers remorse and wish they had voted for Hilary in 2008. Also, they are wishing Hillary was running this year.

All I can say is BWAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!

Big Grin

West Virginia Democrats are not your average Democrats.

I will be surprised if Romney wins and shocked if Obama 'goes down in flames.'

RE: laugh out loud... West Virginia primary
What redbeard said.

I think this is Obama's election to lose. Only 24% of West Virginians voted for Obama in 2008 but he still won solidly.

This is our recent two term governor, who replaced Robert Byrd as our senator. He also received an "A" rating from the Cato Institute.

He and the Democrat governor candidate both refused to endorse Obama this time around.
