I think his exact words were "a neanderthal with sub-human intelligence" with a "lump of stool you call a brain." And something about if I were more educated then I wouldn't turn down prostitutes when they solicit me. |

Funny thing is on the other board when I said that mail order brides were only a shade different than American women in loveless marriages of necessity or convenience, I was condemned for comparing marriage to prostitution. It's a subject I know better than to bring up but I do it anyway because I'm like that. I guess it's just been on my mind since I moved back to this busted little city. I see how hard single mothers in a largely blue collar economy struggle to survive and the price they pay financially and emotionally for a decision to have sex with a guy. I've come to see how the idea that marriage is about romantic love is wrong-headed and has tremendous social costs. Marriage has always, since ancient times, been about making sure women were taken care of. If it turns out a marriage is something higher and nobler, then that's great and of course I would encourage my female friends not to "settle" but I was speaking about the custom as a whole. |

Very good article written by a former sex-worker who enjoyed the experience, if anyone is interested:

RE: It happened again.
I've come to realize that much of my sex drive is a desire for acceptance. If the sex act is reduced to commodity that can be purchased than I know she not really accepting me. For the same reason, porn usually has almost no pull on me. It's not even a real human body that I can touch, so looking at it would make me feel like a loser. Of course I'm not saying that there's no physical dimension to it.
And while I do realize that women need to acceptance and to feel attractive to a man, and this is part of the reason that a overwhelming majority of couples do in fact have sex before marriage, I can't help but believe that given the risk women take when they have sex, their partner owes them at least some level of security-- emotional, physical, financial, and whatever. Ideally that would be marriage but in reality the bar is a good bit lower, but I do believe that decent, healthy people do at least have some sort of standard. I operate from the general principle that if I walk into a bar I am not going to try to get laid, no matter how good looking or into me she seems to be. |

I wish there was a raging feminist on this forumn. She'd make me look like a fluffy bunny after she's done shredding this sexist dribbel to pieces. I'll be in the bathroom vomiting |

Spoiled, ignorant braggart seems like a stretch though. Not sure how anyone consistently proves themselves anything in the course of 2 days.
