Are you bigger than God? Is his arm made shortened so that he cannot save?

I rather doubt it.

Music RE: True Confessions
I giggled when I threw away all of my Jack Chick comic books. I feel sorry for Mr. Chick but I can't help but smile when I think how seriously I once took his work. Blush

Music confession? I tap my feet to music. I play, sing and listen to all genres. Including rap, rock and jazz. I don't like all of each genre but I enjoy the art and inspiration that can be found in all genres.

But if you look at my playlists you'll find Mendelssohn's Elijah right next to the Barenaked Ladies and ABBA sharing the same space with George Gershwin.

I don't foolishly claim to like all music (nobody does) but a constant diet of nothing but art music would leave me just as short-sighted as a constant diet of whatever the music industry is promoting at the moment.

I confess that I have Mendelssohn, ABBA and Gershwin on my computer and I agree about balance.

I hope I didn't come off as a snob in my other post. I try to appreciate well written/performed music in all genres, though some genres are harder for me than others to appreciate (I'm still working out my hate for jazz. It's a slow process....).

I didn't get jazz for a while. Then I realized improvisation was about the purest form of a performer translating emotion to music in real time. It made a little more sense after that but I don't have a lot of it in my regular musical diet.

I don't know, I'm a little worried that there will be someone who will die in a car wreck without having the opportunity to have read that tract....Huh

Yeah, Jazz has never really resonated with me, the blues on the other hand...

I have quite a variety. From sacred choral music, classical, and the occasional gospel song to Train, Taylor Swift (I do have daughters), all the way to the Who, CCR, Dire Straits, to Toby Mac!

Our church christmas services this year had some serious choral/orchestra wall of sound type classic christmas hymns, and I was really disappointed that we didn't go all out and go TSO on the folks - could have been really interesting to watch the prime timers class have heart attacks right in the sanctuary.

My blood type is Diet Dr Pepper.

I took two languages in college, but now refuse to speak either one.

My music tastes are as out there as possible. Much of my music comes from either Canada or Europe. Much of it is in languages I do not understand. Even the stuff I do understand is stuff nobody else does. I'm hoping Perpetuum Jazzile comes to Nashville next year.

My Dad was stationed in Europe before I was born. He bought music over there and I still have his old cassettes.

Really? So what are the Spanish equivalents to "Thou", "shewest", "hitherto", "wherefore", "moveover" and "Helpmeet"?? Tongue
