RE: Coffee
Instant is the devil. But if it's your thing I won't judge.

(I'm totally judging you)

RE: Coffee
Weirdly enough, if I'm brewing drip coffee I really haven't found much better value for the price than 8 O'clock Coffee.

It's got decent flavor and doesn't take your tonsils with it on the day down. It's not that fancy...but then again neither am I.

RE: Coffee
Tiarali, I'm so sorry for my oafish American bretheren. If you use an electric kettle to heat your hot water, and drink Nescafe, then you are likely part of the Commonweath. If you most likely prefer tea to coffee, then you are likely part of the Commonwealth.

Boone's Farm is cheap, cheap wine preferred by teenagers to get drunk, fast (speaking from experience).

That being said, the answer to Darrell's question is Folgers or Maxwell House. I enjoy a good cup of gourmet coffee once in a while, but am not a snob about it.

That's mostly what I drink because it's what people brew at work.

I bring in bags of 8 O'clock Coffee whenever I can afford it in self-defense.

RE: Coffee
I like Dunkin Donuts coffee which makes for a pretty good everyday cup of joe, but I'm not terribly picky about brands. The 8 O'Clock coffee is pretty good, as I recall. We also drink Melitta regularly at my house, and sometimes we just get different brands to change things up. At work we have assorted Green Mountain coffees for the Keurig brewer; my favorite flavor right now is the Spicy Eggnog (which tastes a lot better than it sounds).

I just can't take anything from Starbucks, since it always tastes burnt to me. And instant coffee is of the devil.

On the rare occasions when I go, I usually stick to their sugar-filled cold drinks. Or I get tea.

RE: Coffee
Funny!

I grew up in Costa Rica, where the grades A, B and C coffee were exported.

What stayed in the country was the dregs. Then they would adulterate it with chickoree, peanut shells and who knows what else.

When someone offers to bring me some coffee, they insist of bringing me export-quality coffee. What I really want, because I grew up with it, is the dregs: Cafe Dorado, Cafe Triangulo. (yes, the Boone's Farm of coffees.)
