What "old" movies do you want your kids to see?
Just watched "Terminator" on TV and thought how cool it is and how SOMEDAY I want the kids to see it. Then I started wondering which of the popular movies of your childhood or young adulthood do you want to share with your kids? At some point, the only people talking about these movies are going to be "old folks". LOL!

So which movies do you want to get on DVD and show to your kids even though no one their age is necessarily watching them right now? We for example just showed the kids all the "Jurassic Park" movies which they loved.

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.

"The gods must be crazy" - uproariously awful movie

How about E.T, Goonies, Karate Kid, and Top Gun? 80's movies I know, but.....still around the same time as Terminator, I think?

@Presbygirl, my husband can't believe that I still haven't seen "Top Gun"! You miss a lot of popular culture when you grow up fundy!

My kids (all teens except the 11 year old) love my old 80's movies, but they all loved seeing this one. I think the only one we like better is Better Off Dead.

We watched all three Indiana Jones movies before taking our son to the new one. I think he might be old enough for The Last Starfighter this summer. (Oh, how I love that movie)

And he's been watching Voyagers! on DVD. I'm seeing a lot of them for the first time, since it originally aired on Sunday nights.
