Cancelled Shows

RE: Cancelled Shows
Maybe this isn't the place for this, but our former pastor (made the fundies look desireable) made a tv show and then a movie about his life. (As a former con man turned over new leaf in prison helping the FBI solve white collar crimes, and became pastor of a church) I saw the first episode for the tv show (it never got bought) and the movie was done but not distributed at which time his whole message of "Second Chance" kind of blew up in his face (google Barry Minkow if you are interested). He will be going back to jail and the friend of mine who invested 25 MILLION dollars in this guys life story in movie form is hoping that if they re-write the ending that maybe hopefully he can get back SOME of his money on this debacle.
It is a wonder I even still GO to church.

Pushing Daisies was awesome!!!!

It takes a uber-cool person to appreciate that show's clever quirkyness.

Apparently there are not very many uber-cool people in this country.

I've been called uber-cool. My life is complete. Big Grin

Thanks for that, I just netflix'd the pilot of Jericho, and I'm hooked.

RE: Cancelled Shows
Jericho was one of the best shows ever, hands down. As was Firefly. Firefly was never given a chance at the studio exec level, and that killed it before it could hatch. Rumor is that most of the crew is signed on for two more movies, but I don't know if they will ever get made.

Oh, and Buffy-Once More With Feeling simply proves what an incredible creative genius Joss Whedon really is.

Firefly! YES! Big Grin Though, Nathan Fillion is in the show Castle now, and I do enjoy that one. I love me some crime TV.Tongue

Booyah! Long live Captain Tightpants! Big Grin I've watched almost the whole season on Youtube...now to get my hands on a DVD of Serenity.

And Castle is amazing--as a writer, I geeked out when I watched it the first time. Heart The dialogue is wonderful.

It is a wonder I even still GO to church.

Part of this sounds like the actual USA series 'White Collar'. I've seen a few episodes and it seems pretty decent. I don't have cable any more so watching is pretty much impossible.

I liked Jericho, and I was glad it got an extension so the writers could wrap up most of the story. I loved the first season of Heroes but I think it went downhill and I haven't seen the last couple of seasons. Castle is awesome! I laughed when I was watching 'Lost' and saw the episode where Nathan Fillion guest stars as a cop. Speaking of 'Lost', I think that has got to be my favorite show ever. I didn't pick it up until the S4 Finale but was immediately hooked. I picked up the entire series from my local Blockbuster when they were closing. Introduced it to my brother and his wife and we've been working our way through the entire series (next episode is S3 finale).

The S3 finale was my favorite. Blew my mind.

Most troubling one for me...The Unit - once they got over their sophomoric sophomore season foray into copying desperate housewives it got pretty good

Oh, man! That was an awesome show! One of my favorit scenes was when Jonas gets extracted with that aerial hookup snagged by the passing plane. I had to look it up to see if it was a real technique. I despised Kim in the beginning but she turned out mostly OK after she got used to things. I dug 'Red Cap' and her unofficial role in the team during the last season.
