A Recent Fundy Blog Post

This comment was posted today on the blog. I am quoting it verbatim.

I refrained from saying anything on the blog about it, but it was such a perfectly awful example of fundy writing that I had to discuss it here.

1. The irony in his first sentence is overwhelming! Apparantly, the writer never learned anything at school either, since his post contains run-ons, misspellings, missing punctuation, uncapitalized words, and an actual missing word.

2. He failed to capitalize Bible. Using his own logic, could I not try to prove that this shows that he disrespects God?

3. He makes unproved accusations: "one must know the truth before it will set them free you dont the truth". (Of course, he also left out the word "know.")

4. He references an R-rated movie which again is hugely ironic! SFL: selective holiness

Although, in reference to No.4, it's also possible that he's heard the phrase and has no clue as to where it comes from. So at best, that one is cultural ignorance.
But wow, that really was a mess! Fundies are so good at proof-texting, you'd think they would do a little better at proof-reading!

Wait.. how is this a fundy post? Isn't he saying that fundy schools are dumb?

No. He's saying that IF Darrell went to one, he didn't learn anything (because he's not demonstrating the knowledge of God because if he were godly, he wouldn't be writing this blog).

The ironic thing is that the post is so badly written he IS inadvertently demonstrating that HE himself didn't learn anything from HIS school.

Oh heavens. That was so jumbled, I had to read it twice. The irony of someone writing that mess while trying to say that someone else had never learned anything in school was just too... much...
