I was mocking the term...but I don't believe that Sanctification is as Synergistic as many would lead one to believe. I like the Jerry Bridges approach better than say a Jay Adams, Jim Berg or someone else who separates justification and sanctification far too much IMO. In that sense, I tie the gospel to sanctification much more strongly than many I encountered in fundamentalism.

And of course, the guys most aggressively promoting a highly synergistic sanctification are usually sustained by some form of counseling ministry, so anything they say must be filtered through the fiscal benefits they derive from it.
