RE: A little about Faith
When I was at BJU, there was a person working at a local mart who was obviously trans or drag. Probably trans because she/he was sporting a name tag with a woman's name. My friends and I were polite at the check-out, but in the parking lot we laughed and laughed. It never occurred to me that I should actually care about this fellow human being.
I spent a lot of years loathing myself for being such a sinful wretch, praying for God's forgiveness for the common list of youthful indiscretions. But I did not feel the pain of my sin of not caring about people. After I had a complete breakdown and got help from people who were anything but nouthetic, I changed. I am really sorry for not showing kindness to people. Because when you reject people you reject Jesus. He was a stranger and I couldn't see that it was Him, I thought He was weird. And I did not care. |
